Joie de Vivre Houseboat
Renovation of 3000 sf houseboat on a steel barge. The barge was originally built in Nashville, Tennessee, to assist in the construction of bridges around the area. Now, it is being refitted to serve as a floating fishing and hunting camp, which will be located in Venice, Louisiana, the heart of sportsman’s paradise. Joie de Vivre will be able to accommodate up to 15 sportsmen with ease. Features include full bar, entertainment area, dining room, commercial kitchen, laundry facility, bunk rooms, and captain’s quarters with a Jacuzzi tub. Perhaps the coolest feature of this camp, however, is the fact that it is completely self-sufficient, capable of holding up to 6000 gallons of fresh water, with its own self-contained pump system and sewerage system, and a 65 kw generator, which holds 2000 gallons of diesel, enough to be self-sufficient for weeks.
